Kay loved tending to her flowers, watching hummingbirds and owls, quilting, crocheting, riding motorcycles, chocolate, and had a great patriotic love for Donald Trump. Most of all, her greatest joy and pride were her beloved sons.
Kay is survived by her friends and caregivers, Denise and Dirk Martin, Traci and Joe Aman; her sister, Joy Felix; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Kay is preceded in death by her husband, James R. Hughes, who passed away on March 22, 2017; and her sons, Raymond and Richard Hughes.
The family would like to thank Guernsey County Hospice and Amy’s Helping Hands for their kind and compassionate care towards Katherine over the past several months.
