Katherine “Kathy” Ann Derringer, age 65 of Talbott, TN passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer on June 9, 2025. She was a lifelong member of Roe Junction Missionary Baptist Church in which she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a pharmacy technician for over 30 years with CVS pharmacy and Revco. She was an avid crocheter, baker, crafter and always had her crochet needle and yarn with her. Kathy was a kind, loving, funny person who loved being a Mamaw to her grandkids to which her family was everything and always put others before herself. She is proceeded in death by mother; Anna Sue Knight; father and mother-in-law, Roy and Wanda Derringer; brother in laws, Steve Derringer, and Mark Derringer. She is survived by; husband of 42 years, Donald “Don” Derringer; father, James Hugh Knight; son, Andrew (Kira) Derringer; daughter, Jennifer (Daniel) Bass; grandsons who are her entire world and light of her life, Hunter Bass, Eli Derringer; brothers, Dale (Donna) Knight, Ronnie (Anita) Knight, Wayne Knight, Gary (Debbie) Knight, and Terry (John) Knight; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; brother in law, Matt Derringer; sister in laws, Ruth Derringer, and Vickie Derringer.
A visitation will be held at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 11am-1pm with funeral service to follow at 1pm with Elder Mike Fullington officiating. A graveside will then be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens at 2pm following the service.The Family would like to give a special thanks to Lifecare Center of Morristown for their care.
