Katherine Lynn, daughter of the late George Nussbaum and Theta (Sebastian) Nussbaum was born on September 29, 1941 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed her life on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in the Chaffee Nursing Center at the age of 83 years.
She was a former Librarian Aide at Kelly Schools for several years and also worked at Boomland in Benton. Mrs. Lynn was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville, Scott County Women in Agriculture, Benton Homemakers, and the Red Hat’s.
On October 17, 1970 she was united in marriage to Donald Lynn in Gordonville, Missouri. Mr. Lynn survives of the home in Benton.
Along with her husband, survivors include one son, Doug Lynn of Benton; one daughter, Donna (Jason) Claes of Cincinnati, Ohio; two granddaughters, Katie and Nora Claes of Cincinnati; one brother, Dewey (Gwen) Nussbaum of St. Louis; one sister, Mary (Mike) King of Oak Ridge, Missouri; also, by other relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Chaffee nursing center as well as Ms. Charlotte McCroy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton with Pastor Daniel Warner and Pastor Dennis Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in the Unity Baptist Cemetery in Benton.
