Sister Katherine V. McAtee was born May 20, 1927, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She departed this life on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 5:57 pm at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. At an early age, she confessed her faith and was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church. She retired from the Janitorial Service at UPS.
She was preceded in death by her children, Enda Banks, Estella White, and John E. McAtee.
She leaves to cherish her memory her surviving son, James McAtee; grandchildren, Kim Banks, Lisa Woods, Carolyn Woods, and grandson Charles McAtee; great-grandchildren, Quinisha Banks, Robrecka Thomas, Danazha Jones, Denim Thomas, Ashley Banks, Amia Banks, Lanisha Crenshaw, MaLisa Crenshaw, Naiyah Banks, Harold McAtee, James Smith, Demetrius Banks, Kenneth Banks, Lee Jones, and Tory Grace; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friend, "Tee".
Visitation will be Saturday at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 12pm-1pm with a celebration of Katherine's life beginning at 1pm.
