Katherine Rust, 72, of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025. Born on November 22, 1952, Katherine lived a life centered around love, family, and simple joys.

A devoted mother, Katherine dedicated her life to raising her children, who meant the world to her. She took great pride in creating a warm and welcoming home filled with laughter, delicious meals, and unconditional love.

Katherine had a deep appreciation for life's little pleasures-spending sunny days at Chick's Beach, camping under the stars, and cooking meals that brought her family together. She also enjoyed collecting lighthouses, finding beauty and comfort in their symbolism of guidance and hope.

Her beloved dog, Wally, was her faithful companion, always by her side and a source of constant comfort and joy. One of her greatest delights was when her son brought her flowers, a gesture that always brightened her day and reflected the love they shared.

Katherine's warmth, kindness, and nurturing spirit touched everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her gentle heart, her love of family, and the joy she found in life's simple blessings.
