Katherine was a wonderful colleague in the IKNS program at Columbia and a good friend. As everyone knows she was smart, inquisitive, funny, creative, and fun to spend time with. When my father passed away during our program, it was Katherine who rallied the cohort to send me an enormous bag of popcorn that was bigger than myself, which gave me a laugh when I very much needed one. We spoke occasionally on the phone and via text messages after school and always enjoyed our conversations. Even though we were only friends for a few years, I will miss her very much. My condolences to her entire family.

I met Katie at Highlands way back in 2009. Despite not being in touch since we graduated, I will always remember her for how friendly she was and how she was always smiling. So sorry to hear this news.

I worked with Katherine at the AP until I retired in 2020. She was talented, smart, funny and very generous, and you could see all that in every idea she had, every word she spoke. Just being with her could make someone feel better about the world. She instigated small celebrations, ways people could spend time together at work and create the bonds that all good teams have, and that we would not have made otherwise. I would like to say that I didn't know her long enough, but that's true for all of us. But I will remember with warmth and gratitude that I got to know her at all.

To my beautiful friend Katherine , you were truly a special young woman full of grace, kindness and love. I thank you for the welcoming friendship you offered me upon meeting. I will cherish all the yoga classes we did together, coffee chats after and hundreds of texts full of your wit. Mr.and Mrs Sandler, you raised a really wonderful daughter that the entire world will miss. My condolences to your entire family. May Katherine rest in the grace of God.

I remember spending time with Katherine and Linda after treatment inN.J. We would stroll at Tice Corners and have coffee at Paneras. Katherine was my daughter by proxy. Her beautiful face and infectious smile will always remain in my heart. Aunt Helaine
