Katherine "Kay" Ann Settle, 83, of Wellford, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Born in Omaha, Nebraska on April 24, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Kay (Banik) Nechodom and James T. Keohane and her stepmother, Virginia Spivey Keohane and was the wife of John Eddie Settle having celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Kay was a member of Lake Cooley Baptist Church and retired from District 5 Schools where she taught 3rd grade and Art.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by one son, Mark Settle: one daughter, Katy Hamrick; one sister, Suzan Bales and her husband Fred and her beloved granddaughter, Audrey Hamrick.
She was predeceased by one brother, James M. Keohane.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 2:00 - 2:45 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Settle officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Smile Train, PO Box 96231, Washington, DC 20090-6231.
The family will be at the home of her daughter.
