Katherine June Stinson, age 81, of Gallatin, TN was born to the late Thomas Carline and Goldie A. Beasley on April 21, 1942, in Sumner County, TN. The Lord called her home on April 09, 2024.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Siloam Missionary Baptist Church Westmoreland, TN. With Bro. Steve Johns officiating. Interment to follow in Siloam Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 pm until time of service.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy F. Stinson. She is survived by children, Rodger Dodson of Lakeland, FL, Karen (Roger) Tenpenny of Gallatin, TN, Jennifer (Mark) Cross of Castalian Springs, TN, Brent (Shannon) Stinson of Gallatin, TN; grandchildren, Michael Tenpenny, Kellye (Brian) Zullo, Tristan (Jennifer) Thomason, Hunter White, Josh Cross, Maddox Cross, Emma Stinson, Aidan Stinson and seven great grandchildren. Brothers: Kenneth Beasley, Billy Beasley and Maxey Beasley.
Katherine was a loving mother and wonderful friend. She was always there for anyone who needed her without hesitation. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. Her accomplishments included Interior Designer, Pilot license, Commissioned Deputy and member of the Eastern Star. She was a faithful member of Siloam Missionary Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The Veranda, 650 Nashville Pike, Suite 7A, Gallatin, TN 37066, c/o Mary Anne Oglesby-Sutherly or Carson Brady Borders Memorial Fund (all funds go directly to foster/adoptive children). Cash donations can be deposited @ Gallatin locations of First Horizon Bank.
