Katherine Uicker Obituary
Katherine E. Uicker, age 85 of Pontiac, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at St. Joseph Mercy Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac.
She was born on February 14, 1936 to the late John and Elizabeth (Flint) Uicker. Katherine worked as a librarian for the City of Detroit, in the children's library. She enjoyed reading, especially to children, quilting, playing the piano, and being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son: David (Tyra) Uicker, grandchildren: Christopher, Faith, Katiera, Joshua, Michael, great grandchild: Osias Uicker, siblings: John J. Uicker II, Joseph B. Uicker, James L. Uicker (Suzanne), Thomas M. Uicker, Mary F. Uicker, Elizabeth A. Cantu (Nick), Margaret M. O'Neil (Michael), and many nieces and nephews.
Katherine was preceded in death by siblings: James Uicker and Theresa Uicker.
Funeral Mass for Katherine will be Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 11 am at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. George Amos officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Church Cemetery. Visitation for Katherine will be Saturday, at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach.
