Katherine "Kathy" Wilson, born August 28th, 1933, in Hertford, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on September 28th, 2025, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, at the age of 92.

Kathy was the cherished daughter of Leora and Roy Chapel. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Irene, and siblings Maxine, Seymour, and Louis Lee. She was also predeceased by her beloved daughter, Pamela Wilson (Glen).

She is survived by her children, Debbie Brinn (Don, deceased), Denise Lawrence (Jim, deceased), Carl Winson (Cindy, deceased), and John Wilson. Kathy's legacy of love continues through her 15 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 32 great-great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-great-grandchildren.

Kathy devoted much of her early working years to Color Craft in Norfolk, Virginia, before making her home in Sneads Ferry, North Carolina. There she served as a substitute teacher at Dixon High School, where she was fondly known as "Nana", a name that reflected both her role in her family and the affection of her students-many of whom were her own family.

Family was always at the center of Kathy's life. Surrounded by generations of loved ones in Sneads Ferry, she was blessed to spend her later years in the company of those dearest to her, who remained by her side with unwavering devotion until her passing.

A chapel service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, NC. Burial to follow the funeral service at the Yopp Community Cemetery in Sneads Ferry. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.

A celebration of Kathy's life will take place at a later date in Virginia, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the love she shared so generously.

Kathy will be remembered for her quiet strength, her devotion to her family, and the enduring warmth that touched all who knew her.
