Kathi L. Cornell

Kathi L. Tigler Cornell, age 70 of West Point, passed away in her home at 3:57 PM Wednesday, February 26, 2025 following a lengthy illness. She was born in Lafayette, November 6, 1954 daughter of the late Ernest C. and Dorothy L. Moore Tigler. She married David Cornell in Lafayette on December 31, 1981 and he preceded her in death February 9, 2020.
Kathi was a graduate of Tri County High School with the class of 1972. She most recently worked in Registration at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 15 years. Prior to that she was employed 15 years as a bus driver for Tippecanoe County School Corp.
Kathi's life was family based and she loved 'raising' and supporting her grandchildren in their activities. Kathi had a great sense of humor, was sassy, stubborn and loved life. One of her other biggest joys was spending time in Hobby Lobby, she loved to shop and browse there.
Survivng are: two daughters; Katie (Jeremy) Miller and Ashley Reece both of Lafayette. Grandchildren; Jackson Reece, Mac McIntosh, MaCayla McIntosh, Paisley Miller, Mariah Miller all of Lafayette and Clayton Miller serving with the Air Force stationed in Wichita Falls, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David and brother Ernest C. Tigler, Jr.
Visitation hours are 4:00 – 6:00 PM Saturday, March 8, 2025 with funeral services following at 6:00 PM with Pastor Eric Schneider officiating, at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate (9700 North State Road 55 Wingate, 47994).
