Kathi M. Osborn, born on March 27, 1962, in Columbus, Indiana, passed away peacefully in Sheridan, Indiana, on November 26, 2025. An unwavering pillar of love and strength to her family and friends, Kathi was cherished for her vibrant spirit and her boundless capacity for kindness.
Kathi’s personality was a reflection of her generous heart; she was an upbeat, no-nonsense individual who greeted each day with enthusiasm. Known for her saying, “What you see is what you get,” she exemplified honesty and warmth in all of her interactions. Kathi never met a stranger, always eager to lend a helping hand, and her selflessness often led her to put others before herself.
Family was at the core of Kathi’s existence, and her greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones, particularly her grandchildren, Cheyanne N. Richards and Sidney L. Hart. Kathi's devotion to her family was evident in everything she did, from canning and gardening to creating lasting memories with her grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Kathi was also actively involved in her community, proudly serving as a member of K.V. Elliott American Legion Post 67. Her contributions and spirit will be fondly remembered by the members of this organization and the broader community.
Kathi is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Gregory Osborn, of Sheridan, Indiana; son Gregory Osborn of Muncie, Indiana; daughter Niki Hart of Greenwood, Indiana; granddaughters Cheyanne N. Richards and Sidney L. Hart; and her siblings, Gary (Angie) Edwards and Paula (John) Carithers. She also leaves behind several cherished nieces and nephews.
Kathi was preceded in death by her son, James Corbin Osborn, on July 23, 1986, as well as her parents, Curtis R. and Thelma M. (Ferguson) Edwards. Kathi’s legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support for her family and friends will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered in the hearts of many. The family will be planning a Celebration of Kathi's Life at later date.
