Kathie Parent Obituary
Kathie Ann Parent, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, at the age of 70, in Plattsburgh. Born on December 24, 1954, in Plattsburgh, NY to Gasper LaPorte and Veronica Duel, Kathie spent her life in her cherished hometown where she became an integral part of the community.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Raymond Parent; her loving daughters, Amy Buskey and Jennifer Armstrong; her son, Wayne Parent; and her cherished grandchildren, Zackery Buskey, Adam Buskey, Cody Armstrong, and Jalyn Wells; as well as several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Mary Spinks.
She found joy in camping during her younger years, the laughter shared around the campfire, and the serenity of nature. Kathie also had a love for playing lottery scratchers and bingo, often accompanied by friends and family, delighting in the thrill of the game. In quieter moments, she expressed her creativity through crocheting, lovingly crafting blankets that enveloped her family in warmth and comfort.
At her request, there will be no services.
Arrangements were entrusted to Heidrick Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
