Kathleen P. (Welch) Alessi, 73, of Erie, PA passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 20, 1951, a daughter of the late, Thomas L. and Catherine T. (McMenamin) Welch.

Kathleen attended St. Francis Xavier grade school and Mercy Vocational School in Philadelphia. She was a resident of South Philly for the majority of her life. Kathleen raised her two children and then worked in retail sales and banking until her retirement. She enjoyed arts and crafts, going to flea markets, and having a cup of tea while spending time with family and friends. Kathleen loved going to Jersey Shore, sunbathing on the beach and taking in every bit of sunshine she could.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Alessi, sister, Joan and James McKeown, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Alessi.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Ritter (Joseph), son, Anthony B. Alessi (Jill McCambridge), grandchildren, Lyra and River, siblings, Thomas J. Welch (Colleen), Margaret McNally (Bill), Elaine Wireman (Jerry), and Thomas Rainey (Nicole), brother-in-law, Fred Alessi, and sister-in-law, Mary Zagame (Donald). Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends are invited to St. Patrick Church 130 East Fourth St. Erie, PA 16507 on May 13, 2025 from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 am. Burial will be at a later date. The Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is handling the arrangements. Send condolences to www.kloeckerfuneralhome.com.
