Kathleen Baake Obituary
Kathleen Baake (nee Green) age 79, of Margate, NJ, passed away suddenly, of cardiac arrest, on June 11, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Roy Baake and cherished companion, of 21 years, to Raymond Guld, she was the elder of three children born to Joseph P. Green and Anna (nee Matkowsky) on November 1, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA. Kathy grew up in South Philadelphia and was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School, Class of 1963. Upon graduation, she held various positions in the clerical and retail management field until her retirement in 2011. Kathy loved traveling and the beach. She was a resident of Margate for over 55 years and a longtime member of Margate's Log Cabin. Sister of John Green and Patricia Carrasquillo. Dearest aunt to Alaina Carrasquillo – Hicks (Jude) and great aunt to Penelope, Gabrielle, Ginger, Lourdes and Jude.
Family and Friends are invited to attend Kathleen's Memorial Service on Wednesday, June 25th, 11 a.m. at the Margate Community Church, 8900 N. Ventnor Avenue, Margate NJ (609) 822-7147. Interment to take place, at a later date, at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family would sincerely appreciate all donations, in Kathleen's memory, be sent to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org. Condolences may be extended to the family at ghwimberg.com.
