Katie Barbara passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the age of 79.
Loving daughter of the late Mary and Bob Barbara. Devoted mother to Lucie Cripe and Sarah (Rob) Bryan. Loving Grandmother to Taylor (Emily) Julien, Cameron (Tamara) Bryan, Madeline (Matthew) Cabitac, Colbie (Bailey) Konecek, Gracie Peters. Great-Grandmother to James Julien.
Sister of Pat (late Jim) Edmiston, Mary Ann (Mark) Thomas, Dr. Michael (Kim) Barbara, and Tony (Terry) Barbara. Aunt and Great Aunt to many.
Katie was a dedicated servant to our Lord at St. Vivian Church in Finneytown, Ohio. She served on Our Lady of Divine Providence Beacons of Light Family Parish Council as well as the St. Vivian Parish Council, volunteer Sacristan, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Bereavement Committee, weekly Money Management Team, as well as Evangilization volunteer (both adult and youth related). She was also a member of the St. Clare Book Club and Bible Study Group.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vivian Church, 7600 Winton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45224. Interment will follow Mass at St. Mary’s cemetery in St. Bernard.
Memorials may be made in the form of Masses or to St. Vincent de Paul care of St. Vivian Church.
