Kathleen Ann Britt Beetar
10/19/1943 - 03/03/2026
Kathleen Ann Britt Beetar, 82, of Pearland, TX, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026. She was Born on October 19, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, and was the beloved daughter of Dr. Robert Emmett Britt, Sr. and Dorothy Delano Britt. Kathleen was a woman of deep faith and service. Her commitment to education was another defining part of her life. She was a proud graduate of the City House School (a Sacred Heart School) and St. Louis University, where she majored in History. While studying at St. Louis University, she met her husband Rodney. After marriage she would move with him to Cartagena, Colombia where she would teach at an American school called Colegio George Washington. Kathleen and Rodney moved to the Houston area in 1975 and eventually moved to their forever home in Pearland in 1977. Kathleen would have a career in elementary and high school education with the majority of her time spent at Clear Lake High School. She positively impacted the lives of many students and families. She was principled and unwavering in her belief in God and was an active member of Mary Queen Catholic Church. She was a dedicated supporter of both the quilting and Serra clubs. Anyone who had met her would know that Kathleen was a determined woman. Her unwavering commitment to her children, especially to her special needs son Robert, is the most defining quality of her life. She was also known to enjoy a spirited debate, thoughtful dialogue, antiquing, crossword puzzles, and collecting trinkets from her travels. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Robert Emmett Britt, Sr. and Dorothy Delano Britt, her husband of 49 years, Dr. Rodney Felipe Beetar, and her brothers, Robert Emmett and Joseph Britt. Kathleen is survived by her sons, Robert Beetar and Patrick Beetar (Sanaz); her sister, Nancy Pohrer (Gary); her brothers, James Britt (Terri) and Cornelius Britt (Deborah); and her grandchildren: Darya, Baraan, Atash, and Havah.
