Kathleen (Gallagher) Campbell, 94 of Juno Beach. Florida passed away on June 28, 2024. Kathleen was the only child of John and Bridget (Gannon) Gallagher born on November 14, 1929. She grew up in the Olney section of Philadelphia and graduated from Little Flower Girls High School in 1947.
As an only child her goal for her future was to build a loving family with lots of children. Of course, she needed a partner in life to accomplish this goal and that is when she met a strapping young man from Springfield, PA through her friend Joan Bricka Chamness. He was car-less and cashless but his magnetic personality and the fact that he worshipped the ground that Kathleen walked on was enough for her. Bob (Soup) Campbell swept her off her feet and they were married in November of 1950.
They immediately got to work on their goal and before Kathleen was 28, she had become a mother 5 times. She and Bob would add a daughter in 1961 to round the family out to 3 boys and 3 girls. Those 6 children would produce 16 grandchildren. In turn those grandchildren would produce 18 great grandchildren with another great grandchild due in October. Kathleen was also lucky enough to know and hold her first great-great daughter who was born 2 years ago.
After accumulating a sufficient amount of offspring Kathleen and Bob took a well-deserved break and retired to Anna Maria Florida. Kathleen filled her days with golfing, biking, kayaking, walking and floating in the Gulf of Mexico. Kathleen enjoyed 10 years together of blissful, quiet, non-diaper changing golden years before the love of her life passed in 2006.
In 2013, Kathleen relocated to Juno Beach, Florida to be close to her daughter, Maureen and her husband David who provided her with years of love and care on the east coast of Florida until her passing. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Robert, her grandchildren Tracy M Brennan, Michael P Campbell and her daughter in law Susan (Mielcarek) Campbell. She is survived by sons Michael (Nivalda) Campbell, Robert (Nancy) Campbell, and Brian Campbell daughters Maureen Brennan (David), Kathleen and Colleen Muckel (David), 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
The family plans on a private memorial in the future, which will be a joyful celebration of Kathleen and husband Robert's life together. To honor and remember her we ask you to donate to TrustBridge Hospice who provided such compassionate care for our mother in her final days.
