Kathleen Marie Duane, age 71, of Winona died Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at her home at Sugar Loaf Assisted Living.
Kathleen was born August 24, 1953, in Winona, MN, the daughter of Joe and Helen (Randall) Duane. Kathy graduated from Lewiston High School in 1971. She began her career Herff Jones in 1972. She started as a photograph re-toucher, and then moved into equipment sales until her retirement.
Kathy was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, and also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins. She was a faithful member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston, where she taught religion class and shared her gift and love of music by singing in the choir for many years. She loved photography, golfing, and bowling. Kathy’s family was the most important thing to her. She loved all of her nieces and nephews like they were her own children, and she never missed a birthday.
She is survived by her siblings: Fran (John) DeLozier, Barb (Jim) Decker, and Jim (Mary Theresa) Duane; 17 nieces and nephews, 23 great-nieces and nephews and 7 great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tom Duane; sister, Mary Ann Duane; and infant sister, Veronica Duane; and her grandparents, aunts and uncles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Rose of Lima in Lewiston, MN. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00pm at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and for one hour prior to the Mass on Wednesday. She will be laid to rest at St. Rose Cemetery in a private family service.
Memorials are preferred to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
