Kathleen "Kay" Fogarty

Fogarty, Kathleen "Kay" Age 96, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2013, surrounded by family. Kathleen cherished her children, her family, her faith and her flowers. She also loved democrats, donuts and desserts (not sure which order). She was a wonderful cook and was well known at church fund raisers for her divinity candy, which she claimed to be fat free. Even in her youth she submitted pies to the county fair. Kathleen was born June 28, 1916 in Northome, MN. Throughout her life she resided in International Falls, MN, Spokane and Seattle WA, St. Paul, Lake Saint Croix Beach and for the last 50 years in Cottage Grove, MN. Preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Teresa Jones; husband John Jeremiah (Jerry); brothers Bernard, Joseph, Terry and Vernon; sister Patricia Corrin. Survived by her children Terry (Bonnie), Joe (Paulette), Colleen Childers (Terry), Kathy Hiber (Jim), Tim (Karen) and Pat; 17 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; and 5 great-great- grandchildren. Visitation 4:30 -7:30 PM Sunday, May 12 at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park and also one hour before Mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 13 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Ave., St. Paul Park. Interment at Newport Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
