Kathleen "Kathy" Marie Forberg, 69, of Monticello, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Methodist Hospital Southlake Campus in Merrillville.
She was born on January 18, 1956 in Chicago to the late Joseph and Margaret (Morrissey) Conley. On March 12, 1983 she married Charles "Harry" Forberg in Chicago. He survives.
Kathy attended high school in Oak Lawn, IL. She worked as the Director at Gregory Systems until she moved to Monticello over thirty years ago and co-operated Dwayne's World formerly in Monticello with her husband, Harry.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. She enjoyed collecting numerous items, crocheting and baking. She was known for her chocolate chip cookies. She loved animals and cherished her family.
In addition to her husband, Harry she is survived by four children, Danielle Conley of IL, Pam (Russell) Kaplin of IN, Harry (Jennifer) Forberg Jr. of IL, Kim (Bill) O'Donnell of CO; son-in-law, Tracy Birch of IL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, JoAnn (Fred) Johnson of IL; nephew, Brian Conley of IL; and two nieces, Janine (Merle) Larson and Jill (Paul) Grajek, both of IL; great nephew, Conor Fitzgerald. She is also survived by many loving cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Birch; siblings, Tom Conley and Mary Ellen Conley.
Memorial contributions may be given to Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church or Knights of Columbus 6955 - St. John Neumann Council both of Monticello, Indiana .
