Andrea Steer Obituary
Born on February 25, 1972, in Monticello, Andi was the daughter of the late John Cox and Deborah (Brady) Gerlach.
On April 14, 2008, Andi married the love of her life, Donald Steer, on the serene shores of Vancouver Island. Their life together was one of compassion and laughter. Don survives in Monticello.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Don of Monticello; her mother Deborah Gerlach of Lafayette; two sisters, Kimberley Gascho (husband, Jim) of Lafayette and Morgan Newbauer (husband, Dan) of Monticello; and thirteen nieces and nephews, Mary Borgerding (husband, Andy), Molly DiCicco (husband, Brandon), Samuel Gascho (wife, Kelsey), Kathryn Gascho; Scarlett Newbauer; Lilly Deane, Sam Deane, Graham Steer, Eli Steer, Macie Steer, Charlotte Steer, Beckett Steer and Ari Steer.
Andi was preceded in death by her father, John Cox.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Fred L. Miller Memorial Chapel of the Roscka Roth & Clapper Funeral Home in Monticello.
Memorials may be made to a local animal shelter or to the American Cancer Society.

I enjoyed meeting and knowing Andrea, through my daughter Marissa Johnson, her good friend and co-worker. Sometimes I would see her and Don having dinner at a favorite restaurant, the Jay Jay Cafe near Arlington, Texas. She was a lovely person with a beautiful smile and a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed, but someday we will rejoice when meet again.
