It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen "Kathy" Gannon (née Holly) of Lexington, South Carolina, on November 17, 2025, at the age of 59.

Kathy was born on July 15, 1966, in Suffern, NY, to Edward and Ann Marie (née Culhane) Holly. She grew up in Rockland County, NY, and graduated from North Rockland High School. She went on to Capri Cosmetology school before embarking on a career in accounts payable for A&P Corporate and Home Aides of Rockland. Kathy also worked at many restaurants where her friendliness and laughter kept her tables full and people coming back. After moving to South Carolina, she became a patient liaison. Her compassion and bravery during the pandemic enabled her to become very close with the patients and a hero to their loved ones who could not be with them.

Kathy married the love of her life, Thomas Gannon. Along with their son Eddie, they built a beautiful life in Blooming Grove, NY. Eddie was their pride and joy; their lives centered around his numerous accomplishments and varied interests. They enjoyed travel and adventure, from family vacations in LBI to Folly Beach, Cabo San Lucas, and beyond. Their journey took them to South Carolina, where new friends and memories were made.

Kathy truly embraced life and possessed an uncanny knack for finding humor in everything. Her infectious laugh and kind, generous nature drew people to her, making everyone in her presence feel special. As a loving wife, devoted mom, caring daughter, beloved sister, and fun aunt, Kathy fulfilled each role with ease and a smile. She was genuinely authentic and loyal to all, especially animals-she never met a stray that didn't become a pet. Kathy's carefree spirit was always on display, whether she was fearlessly diving off the high board at five years old or bungee jumping as an adult. She appreciated life's simple pleasures, from winning radio contests to appearing on TV; her sense of humor and tireless energy were unmatched. Kathy's life was truly a blessing, her memory a treasure; she was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband Tom Gannon, son Eddie Gannon, her mother Ann Marie Holly, her sisters Renee (Joseph Lavelli), Marie McNamara, and Jeanne (Brian Mullen), and her sisters-in-law, Christine Fay-Mooney and Deborah Galt-Gaichin. She is also survived by her adoring nieces and nephews: Tara (Niall Freeman), Holly (Anthony Lavelli Musco), Kelcie McNamara, Rebecca Lavelli, Connor Mullen, Danny Mullen, Nerissa Fay Charland (Nate), Brianna and Mallory (Cole Carson), Shaun Fay, John Galt, Christine and Matthew Gaichin, Kathy was predeceased by her father, Edward Holly, her mother- and father-in-law, Thomas and Margaret Gannon, and her brother-in-law, Thomas McNamara.

Visitation will take place on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at TJ McGowan Funeral Home, located at 71 North Central Highway, Garnerville, NY 10923. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point, NY.
