Katie was born on December 10, 1963. She lived a full life following the Lord's path. She was a member of the Sheffield Family Life Center. She worked at Fresh Ideas at William Jewell College for the past five years and spent her summers working at Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun.
She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Marie Garcia and a niece Michelle Moyer.
She is survived by her five siblings Gloria Gamm (James) of Lee's Summit, Missouri; Deborah Shinkle of Lee's Summit, MO; Joseph (Jean) Garcia of Independence MO; John (Lisa) Garcia of Independence MO; and Dennis Garcia of Independence, MO; along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces, nephew, church friends, coworkers and neighbors.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
