Kathleen M. Gorgacz

Kathleen M. Gorgacz, age 71, of New Castle, PA, passed away the early morning of Jan. 30, 2026, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born July 16, 1954, in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Wainio) Huff.

On June 20, 1987, she married her husband of 38 years, Frank Gorgacz. He survives at home.

Kathy was a 1972 graduate of Shenango High School. For forty years she was employed by CD Ambrosia, where she worked as a receptionist. Kathly loved providing for her family and one of the ways she showed that was through her love of cooking. What gave her the most joy in life, was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Kathy was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan and rarely missed a game.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Nicole Thomas of New Castle, PA; son, Justin (Tiffany) Gorgacz of New Castle, PA; two brothers, Edward Huff of New Castle, PA, Dennis (Cindy) Huff of Palm Bay, FL; four sisters, Regina Aiken of South Amhurst, OH, Sister Shirley Huff of Wexford, PA, Deborah (Craig) Cox of New Wilmington, PA, and Mary Beth (Michael) Servedio, of New Castle, PA; and five grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Merle Aiken.

Visitation will be held on Wed. Feb. 4th from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow, at 1:00 PM, at St. Vitus Catholic Church – Holy Spirit Parish, 910 S. Mercer St. New Castle, PA 16101.
