Kathleen Horan

Kathleen Horan, 76, of Mount Carmel, passed away on November 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born at the former Ashland State Hospital in Fountain Springs, she was the daughter of the late Harrison ("Mick") and Catherine ("Kate") Felegi Hartz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Hartz.

Kathleen was a graduate of Lower Dauphin High School in Hummelstown, PA. She worked for many years in the medical field before later finding her passion in the hospitality industry. She held bartending positions in several local social clubs, where she formed many lasting friendships.

She will be deeply missed by her longtime and devoted companion, Robert Horan, of Wilburton, PA.

Angela Wisneski, of Mount Carmel, PA, and her family, Granddaughter Heather Henderson and her fiancé, Edward Hughes, Great-granddaughter Harper, Great-grandson Jaxon, of Valley View, PA and Grandson John Kenenitz, of Denver, CO

Kimberly, wife of John Pidgeon, of Ashland, PA

Nicolle, wife of Eric Brashears, of Salida, CO, and her family, Grandson Joseph Templin, of Denver, CO, Grandson Austin Templin and his wife, Darean, stationed in Colorado Springs, CO, Great-granddaughters Maeve and June Templin and Grandson Holt Brashears and his fiancée, Tyra Martinez, of Salida, CO.

Kathleen will be remembered for her dry wit, quick comebacks, and spirited personality. She loved taking day trips or weekend getaways, especially to Resorts Casino in Atlantic City and to Cripple Creek during visits to Colorado. She also enjoyed watching Phillies and Eagles games with her great-grandchildren.

She was the steady foundation of our family, the one whose love, guidance, and unwavering presence shaped generations.
