New Iberia – A memorial service will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home at 3:00 pm on Monday, January 20, 2025, for Kathleen “Kathy” Broussard, 67, who passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, in Houston, Texas.
Deacon Josh Leblanc will officiate.
Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm Monday.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Kathy was born on August 6, 1957, to the late Frank and Alice David Landry. She dedicated many of her working years to JEM Products, where she not only excelled in her role in janitorial supply and service, but also built lasting friendships with colleagues and clients.
Kathy cherished life's simple pleasures. She found joy challenging herself with crossword puzzles that sparked her creativity and intellect. She had a playful spirit, as evidenced by her love for shooting fireworks. She also enjoyed trips to the casino, creating memories with loved ones. She will be deeply missed.
Kathy is survived by her longtime companion, Russell Turner, Jr.; children, Tyler Broussard (Chancy), and Brandon “Brandi” Broussard; stepdaughter, Tiffany Turner; siblings, Frank Landry, Jr. (Vickie), Verlon Romero, Darlene Crochet, Bonnie Provost (Wayne “Gabby”), Priscilla Landry, and Agatha Broussard; grandchildren, Esmae Broussard, and Hunter and Selina Duhon; step-grandchildren, Blaise and Gaige Lester; sisters-in-law, Adrienne McCarthy (Rob), Jacqueline McCarthy, and Vickie Turner; and her beloved dog, Trampus.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Tina Romero.
As we remember Kathy, we celebrate a life well-lived, a heart full of love, and a spirit that will soar high among the stars. May she rest in peace.
