A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again. -Maya Angelou

In Loving Memory of Kathleen Rae Lockhart (Skinner)
Kathleen Rae Lockhart (Skinner), 76, raised in the Wichita-Derby, Kansas community, passed away peacefully at home in Humble, TX on Monday, December 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Wichita, KS, on October 13, 1949, to Marvin and Jaqueline Skinner.
Kathleen's life was defined by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to her family. Friends and loved ones often said she was the kindest, most generous person they knew, always the first to offer a helping hand, a listening ear, or a warm meal at her table. She believed in showing up for people, and she did so with grace and a smile that made others feel seen and loved.
A devoted wife and mother, Kathleen cherished her first husband and father to her children, David Rabe, and her longtime husband and life companion, Arthur (Acey) Lockhart. She was a proud and loving mother to her two children, David and Brandee Rabe, and welcomed a daughter-in-law, Cora Rabe, into the family with the same open-hearted warmth that defined her. Kathleen's greatest joys were her family and seeing them flourish and grow.
Kathleen passed as she lived, with courage and dignity, surrounded by family at home. The imprint of her kindness is evident in the countless lives she touched across the Wichita, Derby, Dallas, and Houston areas. Her legacy endures in every act of generosity she inspired, and in the close-knit family she nurtured.
She is survived by her children, David and Brandee Rabe; her daughter-in-law, Cora Rabe; and five beloved grandchildren (Collin, Caitlyn, Carter, Oaklee and Westyn). She was preceded in life by her parents, Marvin and Jaqueline Skinner, her longtime love Acey Lockhart, and her wonderful friends David Rabe and Joe Logue.
Memorials and tributes may be made in her honor to the Houston Food Bank.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who has offered prayers and support during this time.
