Beverly - Kathleen (Schlegel) McFadden, 50, died October 2, 2021 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after an illness surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Kevin McFadden. Kathleen was born in Beverly to Herbert Schlegel and the late Suzanne (Dey) Schlegel. She graduated from Beverly High School with the class of 1989 and North Shore Community College in 1996 with a degree in Radiology. Kathleen later furthered her education by becoming an MRI Technician.
Kathleen worked at Beverly Hospital for many years. While in school during her younger years she worked in the file room. She then continued working in the hospital as an X-Ray Technician and Radiologist Technician. She most recently worked as an MRI Technician.
Kathleen was a talented figure skater and was a long-time member of the North Shore Skating Club. She also supported Beverly Bootstraps. Her greatest joy was being a mom and she cherished spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Kevin she is survived by her two sons, Charles Lawler of Beverly, Timothy McInnis of Beverly; and a daughter, Megan Lawler of Beverly; stepchildren Brady, Kasey and Kiley McFadden of Tewksbury; two brothers, Michael Schlegel and his wife Amy of Beverly, Matthew Schlegel of Manchester; a special niece and nephew, Cam and Haley and many other nieces, nephews she was close to.
Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Wednesday October 6, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Her graveside service will be held at Central Cemetery Beverly on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kathleen's name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
