Kathleen A. Meyer, age 89 passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at The Heritage Center in Evansville.
She was born July, 21, 1935 in Evansville to the late Joseph and Laura (Schuler) Vaal.
Kathleen retired from Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School as school secretary after 27 years.
She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella Circle #151and the Altar Society.
Kathleen and her husband, Richard were foster parents through Catholic Charities. She was a Pink Lady at the former St. Mary's Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping and traveling as well as crocheting and quilting.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Richard, a daughter Maria and 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
She is survived by 4 sons: Pat (Dana), Greg (Jodie), Darryl (Diana) and Terry (Joy) Meyer.
10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. 1 sister, Patty Peck and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM Friday, September 27, 2024 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM Thursday, September 26 at Wade Funeral Home with a Daughters of Isabella memorial service beginning at 3:45 PM.
Visitation will also be held from 9 to 10 AM Friday, September 27 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
