Kathleen Marie Saunders

Kathleen Lowrey Saunders, born in Bristol, Connecticut April 28, 1943, and recently of Seneca, South Carolina passed away at Hillcrest Convalescent Center, Durham, North Carolina on February 19, 2026 after a lengthy illness. She was predeceased by her husband Dan Saunders, and by her parents Robert Lewis and Germaine Tousignant Lowrey, her brother Thomas Lowrey and her sister Elaine Lowrey McDowell.

She is survived by her sister, Diane Elliott of North Haven, Connecticut, Michael Lowrey of Green Valley, Arizona, and brother Robert J.Lowrey of Chicago, Illinois, and many caring nieces and nephews.

Also survived by Dana Norton of Raleigh, North Carolina, a unique and loving niece, who visited her often, and was with her every step of the way.

Kathy and Dan Saunders chose a simple cremation without ceremony.
