Kathleen Sitarz Obituary
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Michael J. and Margaret (Berry) Sitarz, she lived in New Bedford before moving to Dartmouth in 1989.
She was formerly employed as a bookkeeper at Fiber Leather Manufacturing for many years until her retierment.
Kathleen enjoyed biking, decorating, sewing, and arts and crafts.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Sippican Healthcare Center and Fidelis Hospice for the wonderful care given to Kathy.
Survivors include her sister, Margaret "Peg" Sitarz of New Bedford; a brother, Michael J. Sitarz and his wife Paula of Dartmouth; a niece, Kate Sitarz and her husband Christopher Smith; a nephew, Andrew Sitarz and his wife Chelsea; and several cousins, especially Maureen Costa who gave great compassion and support to Kathy and the family.
Her visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, October 31st from 4-7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to American Parkinson Disease Association www.apdaparkinson.org.

I was with Kathy and her sister Peg at Sippican nursing home. Peg mentioned to Kathy that I brought her an iced coffee. Kathy had mustered up enough strength and spoke a loud and clear "I appreciate that!!" It brought a smile to my face and made Peg happy as well....
