Kathleen T. Voelmle

Kathleen Theresa Voelmle of Mantua Twp., formerly Edgewater Park, passed away a week before her 87th birthday. Born in Philadelphia to the late Charles McMenamin and Mary Ellen (nee Mohan), she graduated from Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School Class of 1957. Kathleen married the love of her life, the late Joseph J. Voelmle Sr. on June 24, 1961 and together raised five children. She retired from GMAC/RE where she was a secretary for over 30 years.

Kathleen was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Beverly where she was a lector, CCD teacher, and later in life was a member of Church of the Incarnation in Mantua. She was also a member of the Edgewater Park Women's Club, her neighborhood Women's Card Club and worked for Birthright in Willingboro and also for Catholic Charities in Burlington. Kathleen loved trips to Long Beach Island & the Poconos, and in 2019 she fulfilled her lifetime dream to go to Ireland with family.

She is survived by her children, Joseph J. Voelmle Jr. (Carmen), Michelle Zoppina (Vince), Kathy Hazzard (Steve), Mary Cannon (Joe), and Christine Scheuren (Jason); nine grandchildren, Stephanie (Sean), Alexandra (Jamison), Rachel (Mitchell), Craig, Arielle (Cullan), Devin, Michael, Matthew (Makayla), and Jason; her great granddaughter, Parker Jean; her brother, William McMenamin; and many nieces & nephews. Kathleen was predeceased by her son, Stephen; her brother, Charles McMenamin, her sister, Mary Rosenbaum & her husband, Jim; and her sister-in-laws, Barbara and Alice.

Relatives and friends may visit from 9:30 am to 10:45 am on Thursday, October 2nd at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow with burial in BGWCD Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
