Kathryn Barch Obituary

Kathryn Pearl Barch, 95, a longtime resident of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, at her home in Saxonburg. She was born on June 14, 1930, in Creighton, to the late Ethel Blanche Stoneburner and Robert Stoneburner. Kathryn was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her loving children, Joseph (Debbie) Barch of Saxonburg, Neal (Carol) Barch of Ocean View, DE, Therese Barch (Tom) Manning of Torrance, CA, and Delores (George) Henry of Greenbackville, VA. She was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, and the cherished great-grandmother of eight. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Herbert J. Barch; her brother, Robert Stoneburner; and her sisters, Alyce and Betty. She is also survived by her brother, Richard (Dina) Stoneburner of Goodview, VA. Kathryn began her professional career in the accounting department at Allegheny Ludlum. She later found great fulfillment managing the toy and sporting goods department at GeeBee/Value City Department Store in Natrona Heights, where her warmth and dedication to customers left a lasting impression. A woman of deep faith, Kathryn was an active member of Guardian Angels Parish at the Natrona Heights campus. She joyfully served in the Folk and Resurrection choirs and gave generously of her time as a teacher's aide and cafeteria volunteer. Kathryn had a vibrant spirit and many passions, including crafts, puzzles, games, and especially singing. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family, making memories that will be treasured for generations. Her family is deeply grateful for the love, wisdom, and joy she shared throughout her life. Her presence will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2025, at CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME, 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, PA (724-224-8688), where a parting prayer will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Parish, Natrona Heights. Kathryn will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in Frazer Township.
