Kathryn Suzanne "Sue" Coon, 89, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Sue was born on July 15, 1935, in Lima, Ohio to the late Robert W. and Betty J. (Kies) Wyre. On September 10, 1955, she married Roy C. Coon, who preceded her in death.

Sue was a graduate of Lima Central High School and was an active member of the First Evangelical and Reformed Church in Lima where she was elected as the first female Deacon. She loved to sing at Church and for the Lima Senior Citizen's Choir. Sue thoroughly enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, playing cards, making sweaters for her family and creating tissue box covers for every occasion. Sue LOVED sweets. Her motto was "Life is short...Eat dessert first!"

Sue is survived by a sister, Jean Neri of Rolla, Missouri and one brother, Denny Rhoades of Batavia, Ohio; Her children, Ted S. (Kimberly) Coon of Lima, Nancy Bendon of Erdenheim, PA, and Eric R. (Sheila) Coon of Marysville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Tom Rhoades.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lima. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Reverend Gary Beatty will officiate.
