Ora Lee Coon

Ora Lee Sprague Coon, 71, passed away at her residence on March 6, 2026. She was born in McGoffin County, KY on January 18, 1955 to the late Filmore and Evalean Bailey Sprague.

She was a CNA at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center, a loving homemaker and a Baptist by faith.

She enjoyed fishing , travel and spending time with her family.

Ora is survived by her loving husband Gary Coon of Ashland, KY; sons Eugene Perkins (Carol) of Louisa, KY, Terry Perkins (Michelle) of Ashland KY, Charles Perkins, Jason Perkins and Timmy Perkins, all of Ashland, KY; daughter Evelyn Ryan of Ashland, KY; brothers, Frank Lloyd Sprague (Carolyn Ann), Darius Marcellus Sprague (Jennifer), William Patton Sprague (Melinda), Israel Moore, Danny Sprague, and Dennis Sprague (Tammy) all of Salyersville, KY; sisters Sue Ellen Benton (Daniel) of Salyersville, KY, Connie Terry of Fairborn, OH, Carrie Jean Sprague, Angela Kay Wright, and Teresa Faye Vanhoose all of Salyersville, KY; grandchildren, Dougie, Dewayne, Roxanna, Kayla, Leigh, Courtney, Brittany, Logan, Chase, Autumn, Jason, Samantha, Levi, Clayton, Dustin and Shannon; Great grandchildren Wyatt, Cali, Evan, Emmy, Carson, Charley, Elijah, Ivy, Mallory, Leila, Bryan, Waylon, Kadym, Miley, Rylee, Jaidon, Aurora, Mason, Willow, Carter and Jonah, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews and good friends.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel at 1:00 PM with Chaplain Jimm Smedley presiding. Burial will follow in Coon Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
