Kathryn “Kathy” Brock, 72 of Seaton, died Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at her home. A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 4:30 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Visitation will be prior to services, beginning at 3:00 PM. Private burial will be in Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Loving Bottoms Diaper Bank or SPARKS.
Kathy was born on July 12, 1951, to William J. & Mabel E. (Welch) Robbins. She married William G. “Topper” Brock on November 16, 1968, in Seaton, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2022.
Kathy was a beautician in Seaton, having her shop in her home. Her home was a place all the kids in Seaton were always welcome to come, especially enjoying the pool in the backyard. The pool was also a great place for many family get-togethers. Kathy also enjoyed trail-riding, camping and trips to Minnesota with her family. Her rose garden and iris showcased her favorite flowers. Kathy and Topper bowled on Saturday nights and did league on Tuesday in earlier years.
Those left to cherish Kathy’s memory include her daughter and son-in-law: Katrina & Randy Morrison of Bishop Hill; grandchildren: Connor & Courtney Morrison and Alex Morrison; Twin great-granddaughters: Clara Grace & Charlee Jo; siblings: LaDonna & Mike Mayfield of New Boston; Diana & Tim Tromblee of Aledo and Merle & Staci Robbins of Gerlaw; step-sister, Claudia Tromblee and a special friend, Pam Shaw. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, William “Willy” Brock, Jr. ; and siblings: Robert Robbins, Roberta Robbins, Kyron Robbins and Marshall Welch.
