Funeral services were held for Mrs. Kathryn “Kathy” Virginia Carroll Ford, age 66, at Ruple Baptist Church, 4690 Hwy 534, Haynesville, LA, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., and Bro. Ken Karl, officiated. Interment followed at Ruple Community Cemetery near Haynesville, LA. Visitation was held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Homer on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m.
Kathy was born August 11, 1958, in Homer, LA, to Hubert J. and Virginia Shaw Carroll. She entered into rest on April, 5, 2025, in Homer, LA. Kathy grew up in Homer and attended Homer High School. She went to a local trade school for drafting. She was the primary care giver for her mother until the time of her mom’s passing. Kathy was employed by Claiborne Electric for over eleven years, and then went to work for Claiborne Parish School Board and retired after 25 years of service. She served her Lord at Ruple Baptist Church as a Sunday School Teacher, Wednesday Night Bible Study Leader, Children’s Ministries Leader, Church Counsel Leader, Facebook Administrator, Deacon’s wife, and Prayer Chain Administrator. As a result, she touched a host of individuals in service to her Lord. Kathy enjoyed making floral arrangements, decorating crosses, seasonal decorating in her home, and collecting antiques. She was a survivor of breast cancer. Kathy loved spending time with her family and making memories.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Danny Ford; son, Adam Ford and wife Brittnee of Bossier City, LA; two daughters, Erica Green and husband Tom of Haynesville, LA, and Rachal Ford of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Arthur Carroll and wife Kathy of Norco, LA: eight grandchildren, Mallory Schilling, Mason Dwairi, Scarlett Smalling, Violet Walker, Aubrey Green, Davin Green, Keira Norowski and Cameron Storer; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Kathy’s family would like to express their gratitude to Ruple Baptist Church for always being there for her and her family.
Pallbearers were Cameron Storer, Tom Green, Jeremy Foreman, Chad Ford, Doug Ford, Caleb Karl, Adam Ford, and Elwood Foreman, JR.
