Kathryn Anna Lambert, a long-time resident of Doylestown, PA, died peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025, surrounded by loving family. She was 88 years old. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard G. Lambert, with whom she shared a beautiful life and marriage of 53 years until his death in 2010.
Kathryn was born on August 29, 1936, to the late Harold and Kathryn Seward, and grew up in Easton, PA. She graduated from Wilson Borough High School in 1954 and then attended Moravian College. Richard and Kathryn were married on June 8, 1957. Following their honeymoon in Montana, they worked for the National Forest Service in the Coeur d'Alene National Forest in Idaho where they spent the early part of their marriage living atop a fire tower.
After graduation from Moravian College in 1958, Kathryn worked as a teacher for many years serving children from pre-school to fourth grade. She worked as a first-grade teacher for Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Doylestown for many years where she touched the lives of generations of young children and their families. Kathryn loved the Doylestown community and was active in various community organizations for most of her adult life. She served on several Boards of Directors including the boards of Doylestown Hospital, the Doylestown Hospital Foundation, The Village Improvement Association (VIA), the Bucks County Children's Museum, and the Bucks County Choral Society. She was an active member of VIA for many years, served on and chaired various VIA committees, and served as VIA President from 2010-2012. Kathryn was still volunteering at Doylestown Hospital at the time of her death. When not serving our beloved community, Kathryn enjoyed traveling with her family and spending time at the Pinecrest community in the Poconos.
