Kathryn Nolan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Einan's at Hillcrest - Kennewick on Aug. 2, 2023.
Kathryn Nolan of Kennewick, Washington, passed away on July 28, 2023, in Kennewick, she was 77 years old. Kathryn was born on February 9, 1946, in Draper, Utah, to her parents James Roy Wight and Ruby Dean Miller Wight.
Kathryn was a happily retired Machinist and Registered Nurse. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a firm believer in the power of laughter and prayer. She loved being outside in nature. She loved to sew, knit, and make bread. Kathryn was always ready for a road trip and an adventure! She also loved to bow hunt and shoot her rifle.
How do you take a whole lifetime and sum up in a few words? Here are a few other things about Kathryn.
• Christmas was her favorite Holiday, and she became very impish about gift giving and "peeking".
• Her family was her world and everything she did was for them.
• Her favorite calling at church was being a Den Mother to the Scouts.
• She was an infamous Gadgeteer Collector!
• She chose every day to be happy and taught her children to do the same.
• Her eyes sparkled when she smiled, and her joy always radiated from them!
• The only thing better to her than being a Mom was being a Grandma.
• To know her was to love her!!!
Kathryn is survived by her three children, Christie Wood, Brenda Bekes, and Michael Nolan; eight grandchildren, Ari, Yve, Isaiah, Brianna, Gabe, Elise, Hayden, and Ava; three of her sisters, Maxine Cloward, Libby Hendry, and Thelda Leininger; brother Freddy Wight, and too many nieces and nephews to list. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruby Wight, sisters Georgia and Deanie, and brother James.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 8, 2023, and Interment will be on August 9, 2023 at Columbia River Cemetery in Pasco, WA.
