Kathryn Powers Obituary
Kathryn R. Powers, age 95, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023 at Fair Acres in Media. Born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia, Kathryn was a graduate of West Catholic High School. She raised her family in Darby and was a longtime resident of Delaware County most recently living in Glen Mills. Kathryn was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who loved to spend time with her family. She also enjoyed watching the Phillies and Sixers, traveling, and going to New York to see Broadway shows. Kathryn was a former member of Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Darby, and recently St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Glen Mills. Kathryn worked at Tiny Town Children's Clothing store in Upper Darby for over twenty years where she made many lifelong friends. Kathryn will be missed by all but never forgotten.
Kathryn was predeceased by her parents William and Mary Bruno Otto and her son in law Sam Hastings.
SURVIVORS: Her cherished children Jeanne Snyder (Jim) and Joan Hastings, grandchildren Dawn Moore (Ed), Eric Snyder (Mindy), and Matt Hastings, Great grandchildren Aidan, Shane, Ethan, Liam, Carter, and Elliott.
Visitation: Friday, November 17, 2023 from 9:30am-10:15am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston,
Funeral Mass: Friday at 11:00am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills.
Burial: St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations in Kathryn's name may be made to the Friends of Fair Acres ATTN Treasurer, 340 N. Middletown Road, Lima, PA 19037.
