Funeral services for Kathryn B. Sanders, age 97, of Forest, LA will be 10:00 AM, Friday, March 6, 2026 at the Forest Baptist Church in Forest, LA with Rev. Kenny Herring and Rev. Lloyd Blackwell officiating. Interment will be in the New Forest Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Cox Funeral Home.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Sanders; son-in-law, Jesse Kenneth Williams; parents, Loyd "Red" Blackwell and Josie Fiztgerald Blackwell; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. William L. Blackwell and Muriel Fontenot Blackwell; brother and sister-in-law, Col. Eldred E. Blackwell and Dolores Hammons Blackwell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marteal Sanders Wright and Ed Wright; brother-in-law Gene Sanders; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur Clifton Sanders and Vera Wise Sanders.

Kathryn graduated from Forest High School in 1945 and from Louisiana College in 1949. After returning to Forest, LA, she worked at the West Carroll School Board Office and the West Carroll Tax Assessors Office and eventually retired from West Carroll National Bank where she held the position of Vice President for many years. She was a lifelong member of Forest Baptist Church where she faithfully served in many different roles.

Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Karen Sanders Williams of Senoia, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Kay Sanders White and Jerry L. White of Mauriceville, TX; five grandchildren, Kristi Williams Legg and husband Charlie of Senoia, GA; Corey White Martin and husband Chris of Bridge City, TX; Bradley K. Williams and wife Karey of Peachtree City, GA; Cody L. White and wife Lauren of Ormond Beach, FL; Robert K. Williams and wife Caylen of Eagle River, AK; twelve great-grandchildren, Andrew Todd Christian of Senoia, GA; Kathryn Isabella Christian of Senoia, GA; Marlee Grace Williams of Eagle River, AK; Scarlett Marie Williams of Peachtree City, GA; Ava Claire Williams of Peachtree City, GA; Audrey Kate Williams of Eagle River, AK; Logan William Legg of Senoia, GA; Harleigh Jean Martin of Bridge City, TX; Olivia Leigh Williams of Peachtree City, GA; Everett Lynn White of Ormond Beach, FL; Anne Therese White of Ormond Beach, FL; Hayes Christopher Martin of Bridge City, TX; sister-in-law Gene Sanders of Magnolia, AR; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Brad Williams, Cody White, Charlie Legg, Chris Martin, Andrew Christian, Logan Legg, Hayes Martin, Ken Blackwell, Cliff Sanders and Tommy Sanders.

Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Ainsworth, Bob Smith, Perry Brantley, Clifton Vining, Ray Vining and Larry Denmon.
