Kathryn Dotilla Smith, passed away on September 11, 2025, at the age of 77. She is survived by her sons Jason and Matthew. Born on April 25, 1948 in Semmes, AL.
Kathryn's passion for life was evident in all she did. She had an unparalleled enthusiasm for dining out, where the joy of sharing meals with loved ones was always a cherished experience, especially if it was cooked by her sister. Her adventurous spirit shone through in her extensive travels. She embarked on unforgettable cruises to destinations such as Cozumel and Belize, creating memories that would be treasured for years to come. The magic of Disney also held a special place in her heart, as she reveled in the joy and wonder each trip brought.
Professionally, Kathryn served as a cafeteria manager for many years in Saucier, a role she embraced with dedication and pride. Her straightforward nature made her a respected figure among her colleagues and those who worked with her, as she was known for her sincerity and open heart.
Kathryn Louise Smith will be remembered not only for her vibrant personality and zest for life but also for the bonds she cultivated with her family and friends, especially her sister. Her legacy of love, laughter, and honest communication will continue to resonate in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kathryn is preceded by her parents, Marilyn Clark and Martin Dotilla; brother, Robert Dotilla, and sister, Bridgett Smith. Left to cherish her memories are her two sons, Matthew (Shannon) Smith and Jason Smith; siblings, Patricia (David) Richardson, and Johnny Seals; one grandbaby, Payton Smith; neices and nephews, Desireah (Chris) Ladner, DeWayne Ladner, Dustin Dotilla, Cole Smith, Christopher Smith, and great niece and nephews, Madison Ladner, Ethan Ladner, and Gage Ladner.
