Kathryn Trojanowski Obituary Kathryn "Kitty" Pace Trojanowski died Monday February 12, 2024, at the age of 78. She is predeceased by her husband of fifty-five years Robert, her sister Patricia Hopkins and brother Mack Masters, and is survived by her children Dixie Russo and husband, Louis; Douglas Trojanowski; Virginia "Ginger" Gaglio and husband Christopher; Alexandra Trojanowski, and Philip Trojanowski and his wife, Teresa. Also remaining are her grandchildren: Anthony Russo and wife Kara; Madilynn Pogue and husband Brandon; Andrew and Steven Trojanowski; Colleen and Peter Doonan; John and Mara Trojanowski; along with two great-grandchildren, Louis and Ellis Russo. She also leaves behind siblings James Pace and wife Viridiana; and Marian Pace and wife Sondra Rolater.
A native Houstonian, Kathryn was born in southeast Houston, and remained a lifelong resident of the city. A stay-at-home mother for most of her life, she pursued many volunteer opportunities with organizations such as the Park Place Civic Club, Girl Scouts USA, Boy Scouts of America, and with several Democratic Party groups and networks. After her children were grown, Kitty enjoyed a proud career as a Parks and Recreation Supervisor for the City of Houston, presiding over Charlton Park, where she had not only taken her children to play, but had played at herself as a child.
