Kathy Ann Ailor-age 74 of Knoxville passed away Monday, September 30, 2024 at her Sertoma Center Home in Knox County. She was born June 27, 1950 in Knoxville, TN to Jack Ailor and Myrtle Lynch Ailor.
She lived her entire life with severe Cerebral Palsy and multiple health impairments and needed around the clock assistance and guidance. For the last many years, this high level of care, concern and love has been administered by the Sertoma Center staff which has been greatly appreciated by Kathy's entire family.
Even though she battled several health concerns, she faced each challenge to the best of her ability. Kathy did enjoy life and could be feisty, opinionated and loving in her own special way. She loved listening to music on the radio, watching her favorite TV shows, going out to eat occasionally and all the friendships developed through the Sertoma programs she attended.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Myrtle Ailor as well as her sister Judy Ailor Weatherly in 2023.
Kathy is survived by her brother-in-law Ben Weatherly of Marshall, MI, her nephew Dr. Greg Weatherly of Marshall, MI and her niece Angie Bell of Scotts, MI.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM with funeral service following at 1:00 PM at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary located at 220 Highway 61-E, Maynardville, TN. Following the service, burial will take place at Lynch-Bethel Cemetery, West Emory Road, Karns, TN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Sertoma Center, Inc. 1400 E. 5th Ave. Knoxville, TN 37917. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville.
