1948 - 2025

Faribault - Kathy Anne Bode, 76, of Faribault, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025 at Allina Health Faribault Medical Center.

Kathy was born on June 30, 1948 in Northfield, Minnesota, to Dean and Mavis (Elstad) Nienow. Kathy's life started and ended in southern Minnesota, where she finished her career with 15 years as the office manager for Trinity Lutheran Church. The years took her many places. She raised her children in Cambridge, Ohio, and lived in the Caribbean nation of Antigua and in Longmont, Colorado. Kathy enjoyed a range of activities; from working and volunteering in the church to gardening, baking, and traveling. More than anything, she loved people. She found her greatest joy in quiet moments with family and friends.

Kathy is survived by her husband: Howard Bode; children: Amy Lloyd (Andy Buysee), Kristin Stadum (David Reeves), and Scott Stadum; and grandchildren: Mason, Delaney, and Remy Lloyd. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Mavis.

Memorial services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Peter Gueldner officiating. Visitation will be at church from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday morning. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault at a later date.
