Kathy Cates Obituary
Kathy Cole Cates, 66, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 19, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Alamance County to the late Wesley Howard and Betty Mae Beane Cole and was married for 47 years to Ronnie Cates who survives.
Kathy was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church where she loved to serve in the music ministry. She also loved animals, crafts, cooking, gardening and fishing.
She is survived by husband, Ronnie; children, Brittany Cates and her husband, Jason Gabriel, Christian Cates and fiancé, Sondra Murphy; grand dog “P-nut”; brother, Steve Cole and his wife, Lynn and a sister-in-law, Linda Cole. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Benny Cole.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Glen Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Lewis Baber and Rev. Kevin Brown with burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:45 prior to the service at the church.
