Kathy Clawson

Kathy Clawson, 69, of Washington Township, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 11, 2025 in her home. The daughter of the late Thomas E. and Carole Wilson Morgan, who survives and resides in Florida, Kathy was born on October 29, 1955 in N. Charleroi. A lifelong resident of Washington Twp., Kathy worked with her parents in the family business, Morgan's Personal Care Home, until it closed. She was a stay-at-home mom raising her children, then entered the workforce in Advertising at the Valley Independent retiring in 2010. In January of 1977, Kathy met her future husband, Ronald W. Clawson in the Uniontown Shopping Center. It turned out to be love at first sight, and they were engaged and married by October of that year. She often joked about their anniversary falling on her birthday, and that she was cheated out of a gift. Kathy enjoyed hosting family holidays at her house and trying new recipes. She always had a positive outlook on life no matter what obstacle. She loved her family and attended many sporting events to watch her sons. The family would take road trips around the country as long as the boys were not fighting enough to "turn the car around." Kathy enjoyed reading novels and finishing crossword puzzles. The family had numerous dogs, and she would spend the afternoon sitting on her back porch watching the wildlife. In addition to her husband and mother, she is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald W. and Amanda Clawson Jr. of Trafford and Scott M. and Ashley Clawson of Rostraver, a brother Thomas E. Morgan of Florida, and three grandchildren, Aria Clawson, Atticus Clawson, and Sawyer Clawson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
