Mrs. Kathy Ann Atchley Dabbs, 71, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born April 12, 1952, to the late Jack Rominger and Cathleen Hutchens Atchley. Kathy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was employed at Salem Printing for 27 years. When she was not working, she enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling especially to Myrtle Beach and to Cherrokee. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Charles Dabbs, Sr.; four sons, Timmy Cockerham (Deanna), Charles Dabbs, Jr., Paul Cockerham, and Ray Cockerham; three grandchildren, Hunter, Sydney, and Jessica Cockerham; one sister, Lynn Cornelius; and three special friends, Deborah, Teresa, and Linda. A funeral service will be conducted 6:00PM Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Dan River Primitive Baptist Church in Mayfield, NC.
