Mr. Lewis Stanley Moore, 91, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Forsyth Co. on March 19, 1934, the son of the late Herbert Thomas Moore and Della Frances Westmoreland Moore. Lewis retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 20 years of service and then worked for Food Fair in Rural Hall. He loved tractors, going to tractor pulls and Gospel Quartet music. He was a devoted caregiver to his wife and loved his family dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rumell Jessup Moore; a brother, Joe Robert Moore and a sister, Nita Viola “Sis” Burrow. Lewis is survived by his daughter, Reba Moore Dollyhite (Darrell); three grandchildren, Daniel Dollyhite (Ashley), Kevin Darrell Dollyhite, and Katie D. Whittington (Kenny); four great-grandchildren, Anne, Lauren, Micah and Cayson; his brother, John Thomas Moore (Doris) and several nieces, nephews and extended family. A memorial service celebrating Lewis’ life will be conducted 2:00 Thursday, February 12, 2026, at King First Christian Church with Pastor Glenn VanMeter officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. Private burial will follow at Jefferson Christian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
